December 16 is the Great Victory Day of Bangladesh. In this day as a new independent and sovereign state, called Bangladesh, emerged at the base of the earth. Every year in Bangladesh, the day is celebrated with appropriate sentiment and huge enthusiasm. In continuation of the day, a drawing competition was organized with Smile for All SFA and in collaboration with Mina Art School.
This year’s painting competition moto was “Let’s look at Bangladesh with the view painting.” More than a hundred children from different schools participated in two categories in the ‘SFA Public Library’ located at Allardarga in Kushtia Daulatpur Upazila. Among them were the contents of the painting of children of 3-5 years old in the ‘A’ category, as was the case with the paintings, and the children of the ‘B’ category were children of 8-12 years. Shaheed Minar, Parliament building, national flag, rural landscapes, rural fairs and paintings of working people. Akhid Mehmood from Kalyanpur Government Primary School was ranked first from the ‘A’ category, and Rabia Biswas Turi of Rahima Begum Academy was 2nd, Tahsin of Tesla was third. Erb Shahriar of Kalyanpur Government Primary School is ranked first from the ‘B’ category, second is Arpita Rani Sarkar of Girls’ School and Sadira Akhter Memorial of Tesla School.
The painting was presented as the honored guest and judge of the competition, said Md Amirul Islam, Head Teacher of Porradiyar Government Primary School, Senior Teacher Moshta Marufa Yasmin, Allardarga Secondary School, and Assistant Primary School of Kalyanpur, No. 12. Hafizur Rahman was also present at the Mina Art School. Vice-President Al-Bukhari Anik, General Secretary Md. Tutul Haque, Joint General Secretary Asia Jannat, Communications Secretary Md Mamunur Rashid, Joint Publicity Secretary Sharmin Shahnaz Shepu, Religious Affairs Secretary M Mithun Ali, Environmental Affairs Secretary participated in the event. The guest of honor, Amirul Islam, said that he would extend his full cooperation to the SFA cultural association with the Art Academy of Daulatpur Upazila. Abul Bashar, meanwhile, said that he will be with the SFA in total support in organizing such events in the future. At one stage of the event, an open quiz competition was organized for children. The spontaneous participation of children in the quiz competition was eye-catching. The drawing competition officially ends with a prize distribution between the winners.
