Opening Ceremony of the SFA Public Library

On 22th February, 2019 with great enthusiasm, the inauguration of the Kushtia-centric organization Smile for All’s “SFA Public Library” opening program completed. The opening ceremony was held in presence of more than 150 guests and students.

The library was inaugurated with ribbon cut in the presence of the chief guest. A minute of silence was observed for those killed in the Chawkbazar tragedy after the recitation of the Quran at the beginning of the main ceremony.

Md Jahangir Alam (Founding Director TESL English Medium School) was present as the chief guest and Md. Helal Uddin (Assistant Head Teacher Allardarga Secondary School), Mary Mallika Mondal (Assistant Head Teacher Rahima Begum Academy) were also present as special guests. There are multiple teacher educators and numerous students was present from local schools.


Akash Biswas, the founding director of Smile for All SFA, presided over the event and The program jointly executed by Eshia Jannat and general secretary Al Bukhari Anik.

At the end of the speech of the guests, Students received crest and certificates who have got GPA 5 in the JSC exam of the year 2018. The students were selected from the local school Rahima Begum Academy, Nasir Uddin Biswas Girls’ School, Allardarga Secondary School and TESL English Medium School.

The event honored the SFA Volunteer of the Year, Volunteer of the Year. Mahmudul Hasan Sohag (Deputy Organizing Secretary), Abdullah Al Mamun Tuhin (Area Coordinator), Mehdi Hasan Antar (Communications Secretary) were honored with the best honor of the year.
